Wel makkelijker, hopen we. The splitter reads your eCrew rosters and works out the domestic and international share of your duty time — the evidence you need for your tax return.

What's required

The software reads CSV rosters exported from the new eCrew. Save all your rosters as CSV, in UTC time and vertical orientation, as soon as you can.

Anyone with an easyJet email address can use it. It runs on a shared database of flight plans (OFPs) — the first batch of over 1,500 was collected by a single colleague. In return, every user uploads at least 50 OFPs a year to keep the database current.

How to use it

  • Keep your rosters in CSV (vertical orientation). It cannot read PDF or the new HTML-format rosters. A quick guide is on the site.
  • Download every roster you can still reach in eCrew — you never know when you'll need them. First set eCrew to:
    • UTC time (otherwise eCrew omits essential data)
    • Vertical orientation
    Files exported any other way will not work.
  • To start, upload at least 51 international OFPs, ideally a roughly even split of inbound and outbound.
    • The site explains several ways to collect OFPs — all possible from your company iPad, so make a habit of saving them at the end of each duty.
    • For first access, use the Connected LIDO link to download OFPs manually and unlock your account. Full instructions are inside the tool.
Open the splitter and sign in with your easyJet email to begin. Introduction, explanation, OFP upload and roster processing are all tabs inside the tool.

Abuse — bypassing the OFP upload requirement or sharing an account — results in an immediate and permanent ban from the service.

De Belastingdienst

De Belastingdienst heeft aangegeven dat je bij je aangifte verplichte bewijslast hebt, maar ook keuze in bewijslast. Je bent dus verplicht je aangifte te onderbouwen, maar mag zelf kiezen hoe. Uiteraard mag (en zal) de BD vragen stellen als ze jouw keuze niet begrijpen of accepteren.

Daarom hebben we een proefuitdraai van de roostersplitter aan ze voorgelegd. Na uitleg en onderbouwing is door de BD aangegeven dat ze de berekening, zoals de roostersplitter die maakt, acceptabel vinden als bewijs. 100% zekerheid — aangifte in, aanslag uit — is het niet: individuele inspecteurs kunnen altijd vragen stellen. Die kans is hiermee wel kleiner gemaakt.
